总台央视记者：近日，习近平主席同多哥部长会议主席福雷会见时，提出各方建设性参与非洲热点问题解决4条原则。请问这与近期埃塞俄比亚北部局势是否有关联？
CCTV: A few days ago, President Xi Jinping, during his meeting with President of the Council of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, put forward four principles on the constructive participation of relevant parties in the resolution of African hotspot issues. Is this related to the current situation in northern Ethiopia?
毛宁：习近平主席同多哥部长会议主席福雷会见时，提出各方建设性参与非洲热点问题解决4条原则，这对应对包括当前非洲之角局势在内的非洲热点问题具有重要现实指导意义。
Mao Ning: During his meeting with President of the Council of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, President Xi Jinping put forward four principles on the constructive participation of relevant parties in the resolution of African hotspot issues, providing practical guidance for addressing issues including the current situation in the Horn of Africa.
一是坚持非洲主导。非洲人民是非洲真正的主人，应该在地区事务中发挥核心作用。二是维护公平正义。各参与方应该遵守联合国宪章宗旨和原则，尊重当事国主权和领土完整。三是推动止戈为和。战争和单边制裁无法真正解决国与国之间的矛盾，要相互尊重、广泛协商，求同存异、互谅互让。四是实行标本兼治。既着眼当下安全，又谋划长远发展。
First, upholding Africa’s leadership. African people are the true masters of the continent and should therefore play a central role in regional affairs. Second, safeguarding equity and justice. Parties should observe the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries concerned. Third, ceasing hostilities and building peace. War and unilateral sanctions are never real solutions to disputes between states. Countries should respect each other, engage in extensive consultation, seek common ground despite differences, and practice mutual understanding and accommodation. Fourth, addressing both symptoms and root causes. Addressing immediate security concerns should go hand in hand with long-term development planning.?
法新社记者：鉴于中国驻菲律宾大使上周表示如中菲发生冲突，中方可能轻易取胜，菲外交部今日召见中国驻菲大使。外交部对此有何评论？
AFP: The foreign ministry of the Philippines said today that it has summoned the Chinese ambassador for remarks last week when he said that China could easily win a conflict with the Philippines. What is the foreign ministry’s comment on this?
毛宁：改善发展中菲关系符合双方共同利益。同时，我们坚决反对菲方个别人恶意炒作涉华议题、破坏中菲关系。菲方应切实约束个别政客不负责任的言行。
Mao Ning: To improve and develop China-Philippines relations serves the interest of both sides. We firmly oppose certain Philippine individuals maliciously lashing out at China and hurting bilateral ties. The Philippine side should rein in such irresponsible behavior of those politicians.
《环球时报》记者：10月17日和19日，日本首相高市早苗向靖国神社供奉祭品、祭祀费。近日，还有多名日本政府官员、自民党政要以及国会议员参拜靖国神社。请问中方有何评论？
Global Times: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi sent ritual and cash offerings to the Yasukuni war shrine on October 17 and 19. Several Japanese government officials, politicians from the Liberal Democratic Party and members of the Diet visited the war shrine recently. What is China’s comment?
毛宁：中方坚决反对、严厉谴责日方有关消极动向，已向日方提出严正交涉、强烈抗议。
Mao Ning: China firmly opposes and strongly condemns the negative moves of Japan, and has lodged serious and strong protests with the Japanese side.
靖国神社是日本军国主义对外发动侵略战争的精神工具和象征，供奉有对侵略战争负有严重罪责的14名甲级战犯。日本领导人和政客心知肚明，却仍顶礼膜拜，暴露其在历史问题上根深蒂固的错误认知，以及为战犯脱罪、为侵略翻案、为“再军事化”铺路的险恶用心。
The Yasukuni Shrine is a spiritual tool and symbol of Japanese militarists’ war of aggression. The shrine honors 14 convicted Class-A war criminals responsible for Japan’s aggression. Japanese leaders and politicians, despite knowing this quite well, still pay respect to the war shrine. This reveals their deep-seated wrong view on historical issues and malicious intention to erase the criminal record of those war criminals, reverse the verdict on aggression and clear the path for remilitarization.?
今年是东京审判开庭80周年。我们再次严正要求日方正视历史、反省罪责，停止在历史问题上倒行逆施，以实际行动取信亚洲邻国和国际社会。
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo Trials. We once again call upon Japan to recognize history, repent for historical crimes, stop the retrogressive moves on historical issues, and earn the trust of its Asian neighbors and the international community with concrete actions.
彭博社记者：据报道，俄罗斯总统普京提议下月举行中俄美元首会晤，讨论结束乌克兰危机。中方是否同意举办会晤？能否提供更多信息？
Bloomberg: We’ve seen a report that Vladimir Putin has reportedly proposed a meeting with Chinese and U.S. leaders next month to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. Would such a summit be agreeable to China? Do you have any more information to add on this?
毛宁：我目前没有可以提供的信息。
Mao Ning: I have no information to share at the moment.
法新社记者：台湾当局称，昨天从台湾本岛和东沙海域附近驱离了16艘大陆海警船、科考船和渔船。外交部对此有何评论？
AFP: On the South China Sea. Authorities in Taiwan said yesterday that they had driven away 16 mainland Chinese Coast Guard, research and fishing vessels in coordinated operations around Taiwan’s main island and Pratas, also known as the Dongsha Islands. Does the foreign ministry have any more information or comments on this?
毛宁：这不是外交问题。
Mao Ning: This is not a question about foreign affairs.
